										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="p1">As the year 2021 is slowly coming to an end, it is time to evaluate your progress, online and offline. 2021 was a year of resiliency and hard work, as we all did our best to make it work during the ongoing pandemic. Much like with any year prior, there were good and bad things. There were things we’d like to leave in the past, as well as things we’d like to carry with us into the new year 2022.</p>
<p class="p1">That applies to the way you run your business and present yourself on social media. There were trends that will inevitably be forgotten (like almost any TikTok trend of the past) and trends that will continue to evolve and grow (like TikTok itself and the importance of the video format). Here are some trends that you shouldn’t say goodbye to just yet!</p>
<p class="p1"><b>TikTok</b></p>
<p class="p1">In 2021, TikTok really grew on us. It transitioned from a platform for children and dancers to a playground for world-renowned brands and small businesses. Big brands like RyanAir and Skims learned the rules of the game and began creating content that appeals to a wider audience. Smaller brands had a chance to shine using the viral nature of the app. What continues to make TikTok exciting is the ever-changing trends and new rising stars. If you haven’t found your TikTok niche yet, 2022 might be your year!</p>
<p class="p1"><b>Live videos</b></p>
<p class="p1">This year brands continued to produce more video content. YouTube and IGTV videos are not current enough anymore. What’s the solution? Live videos! Going live allows you to interact with your audience in real time. When the market is oversaturated and each brand is more special than the previous, you really have to go the extra mile to engage your audience. In 2021 we started showing our followers the faces behind our brands. We believe this is a good practice to take with you into the new year!</p>
<p><b>Authenticity</b></p>
<p class="p1">What do TikTok and live videos have in common? <i>Authenticity</i>. People don’t want to see the perfect studio shoots and edited videos anymore. They want all of it; the good, the bad, and the un-photoshopped. Consumers are smarter than ever, and they know better than to believe what they see on billboards and magazine covers. In the age of filters and masks, don’t forget to remove yours sometimes!</p>

<p class="p1">Behind-the-scenes content can give you something that scripted content never could &#8211; a real connection with your audience. Through showing your followers the work that goes into creating your product, you’re showing your brand from a different angle. You’re taking off the mask of perfect studio shots and showing your brand’s face without any makeup. Not all brands are brave enough to bare their faces to their audience!</p>

<p class="p1">When you’re reading a book or watching a movie, you can enjoy the acting, dialogue, outfits, and more. The thing that will make you stay is the <i>story</i>. A video is no different.
